Article Processing Charges

At ARK Editions, we are committed to promoting open access publishing to ensure that scholarly content is freely and permanently available to readers worldwide. As part of our open access model, we do not charge readers or their institutions to access our journals. Instead, we rely on a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) that is payable only after a manuscript has been peer-reviewed and formally accepted for publication.

The APC helps us cover the costs involved in the publication process. These include managing the peer review system, editorial handling, manuscript formatting, DOI registration, online hosting, indexing in databases, and ensuring long-term digital archiving. By charging APCs, we are able to eliminate paywalls, making research freely accessible and promoting greater global dissemination and visibility of academic work.

We understand that publishing fees can be a concern for some authors. That’s why we have a clear and transparent APC policy. The charge amount is fixed and varies depending on the type of article submitted (e.g., original research, review article, short communication). Importantly, authors are not charged any submission fees. Charges are applied only after the manuscript has been accepted following a successful peer review process.

To support researchers with limited funding, we offer waivers or discounts on a case-by-case basis. Authors from low-income countries, early-career researchers, or those without institutional funding are encouraged to apply for financial assistance. Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission or earlier. Our editorial team treats all waiver requests confidentially and evaluates them based on genuine need and merit.

After an article is accepted, an invoice is sent to the corresponding author with detailed payment instructions. We accept various modes of payment, including bank transfer, credit/debit card, and PayPal (if applicable). Once the APC is received, the article enters the final stages of production and is published online with open access. For questions regarding APCs, waivers, or payment options, authors can reach out to our editorial support at [email protected]

Article Processing Charges (APC) are fees collected to cover the various costs associated with the publication process. These costs include:
  • Peer review coordination
  • Editorial workflow management
  • Manuscript typesetting and formatting
  • DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assignment
  • Online hosting, archiving, and indexing
  • Long-term digital preservation
  • Infrastructure for global open-access availability

Unlike traditional subscription models, where readers or institutions pay to access research, APCs shift the cost to the publication process, allowing the final published articles to remain openly accessible for all.

Article Type APC Amount (USD)
Original Research Article $999
Review Article $899
Short Communication $699
Case Report / Clinical Study / Mini Review / Abstract $599
Other Types $499
